Today I got out my macro filter and took photos of the bees that are so attracted to my lilac plant. It was neat to get up so close to them. I could even make out the little hairs on their legs covered with pollen. Anyone who knows me knows that I am not a big fan of those flying critters, but it's more the wasps and hornets that I can't stand, okay - that I'm deathly afraid of!!! I actually find the little bumble bees kind of endearing, just buzzing around drunk on the pollen that they find. That's not to say I still wouldn't still freak out if there was one in the car!
